[GITHUB] Plugin af_fullpost

Postby atallo » 02 Jul 2013, 22:14

Hi,

I made a TT-RSS plugin for use when a website publish partial feed content. This plugin automaticaly conects, and download full article.

You don't need edit any file, or create a xpath or similar. Only select feed to process and read.

Changelog

v0.01 - Initial Release. Need manual .php modify to add procesing feeds.
v0.99 - Now integrated with TTRSS options. Don't need edit any file.

Then your plugin is probably broke.

Looking at your code, you're just pulling 'content.' And not all sites classifies their content as content.

Probably. My plugin use a PHP Port of Arc90′s Readability, you can test algoritm in: http://graceco.de/readability/

You can find more info at: https://code.google.com/p/arc90labs-readability/ or http://www.readability.com/developers/api

If you need a simple algoritm, this is good... no 100% efective... but more simple, you don't need any dificult configuration.

Just make an option per feed where the user can decide.

This plugin with ability to enable it per-feed would be perfect, and so much easier than af_feedmod.

It's not quite as nice as (say) an extra checkbox in the Edit Feed dialog, but I've created an unholy hybrid of this plugin with the preference pane from af_feedmod. Unlike the latter, you only need to specify an array of URL fragments that match the feeds you want to pull full posts for, e.g.:

Code: Select all

[
  "kotaku.com",
  "destructoid",
  "arstechnica.com"
]

It's been working well for me for the last month or two, at the least. Full credit (and my thanks!) to atallo and mbirth.

Thanks for this. I had a case where the article URLs don't come from the site but are links to other sites. I added changed the line that does matching to look like this:

Code: Select all

if (stripos($article['link'], $urlpart) === false &&
                                stripos($article['feed']['site_url'], $urlpart ) == false)

to handle this. Think this is generally applicable.
