Android app: favicon problems, PNG first in ICO

I'm having trouble with the favicon for one feed of mine showing up in the Android app. It shows up fine in the browser app, including in the native Android browser. Based on inspecting the feed icons for all the other feeds that do work, my best guess was that the problem is related to this ico hav...

I just noticed the same problem myself yesterday. Starring while online works correctly. I've got tt-rss 1.9 on the server and 1.11 for the Android app.

Re: Tiny Tiny RSS behind a Proxy

Since tt-rss uses libcurl to fetch content, you should be able configure your web server to set environment variables libcurl looks at to determine proxies to use. The curl manpage (http://curl.haxx.se/docs/manual.html) has good info on what those are. Setting the environment vars from the web serve...

Re: fbrss feed not working.

I've updated the copy in dropbox: ⋅ Added a (terse) comment at the top for how to install it ⋅ API version issue addressed ⋅ Support for running tidy added (tidy can fix some problems for me that cause xmllint to error out) ⋅ Added (ugly) prefs pane to select ...

Observations on the Android App

I gave the offline mode of the Android app a whirl on the (underground) train today, and came up with some observations (ok, bugs / improvements ;) ) 1. Mark Above Read went a bit haywire in offline mode. It instead Marked Below Read. In online mode, it worked fine. 1a. Mark Above Read doesn't behav...

Re: Row height in Android App

Updated version is nicer, easier to hit the correct row, thank you :)

A minor nit: the old smaller row size still persists in one place, namely in the tablet two pane layout, the selected category / etc. on the left shrinks down to the old smaller size.

Re: Feed redirects/301/Moved permanently

Would it make sense, then, to treat all redirects as temporary, i.e. follow them during the update, but do not change the subscribed URL? Perhaps issue some kind of update "warning" that the feed may have moved?

Re: Row height in Android App

The GMail message list row height on my phone & tablet both is between 2 and 3 times the height of the category / feed list in the tt-rss app.

Default value for Mark updated articles as unread

It would be nice to have a preference to set the default value for "Mark updated articles as unread" when subscribing to new feeds.

Is xmllint not in your path, or is your webserver setup funny?

Re: fbrss feed not working.

I just got it to work by removing the fourth parameter (false) from line 9 and the comma on line 8 from the about() function return value. I also named it plugins/ff_xmllint/init.php but I don't know if that made a difference. Hmm, I wonder if this was actually necessary, and if so, why? I'm using ...

Re: Google Reader theme

Yay! If it isn't already headed that way, I suggest including this in the next release. OK, maybe not quite yet, as there are some minor issues with this. It makes clicking anywhere in the article display re-collapse the article. Mostly this might be OK, but one point where it's not so great is if ...

Re: fbrss feed not working.

Hmm, good question, wasn't sure how fast xmllint was, worth finding out :) I rummaged through my feeds, looking for the biggest one (by bytes), and without an exhuastive search, the largest ones I found were Ars Technica, at ~120k, and a coding blog at ~290k. I downloaded each feed with wget, and th...
