Re: Tiny Tiny RSS Windows Gadget

Microsoft recommended three years ago that users disable the Sidebar and discontinue using Gadgets. I'm amazed you actually made a new one.

Re: Since 1.11 starred / published feeds are invalid

Here you go. Feed loads fine in a browser but I get the error in IFTTT. http://server.shannondp.dyndns.org/tt-rss/public.php?op=rss&id=-2&key=95b13c3daf3c8d1a9c45dee54eff1601765367d6 Shannon It passes the W3C RSS validator. My guess is that IFTTT doesn't like your invalid SSL certificate.

Re: MYSQL huge temp files with android client

TT-RSS v1.10.5bcb7b6
MySQL 14.14
PHP 5.3.3
CentOS 6.4

Not seeing these temp files. Logged out with the Android client, logged back in, poked around a bit ... nada.

Just use a second pattern in the same rule, and check the "Inverse" checkbox.

Re: Good shared hosting providers

This isn't shared hosting, but I've had good luck with Digital Ocean so far. Their small VM instance is $5/month and handles TT-RSS with a single user just fine. However - since it's a VM and not shared hosting - you NEED to know how to set up a firewall on linux, install packages, and configure thi...

Re: xkcd "What If?" feed not working properly

https://github.com/lotrfan/ttrss_af_whatif Thanks for this. I'd forgotten I was even subscribed to What If, didn't realize I'd missed three articles. You've got a blank line at the bottom of init.php and it's causing extraneous output when the cron updater runs. I've sent you a pull request to fix ...

.htaccess

This isn't the forum for Apache help, though, so if you need more help you should probably find an Apache help forum or at least post over in the Everything Else section of this forum.

It sure should. What's the output if you run this on the command line?

Code: Select all

php -r "echo dechex(OPENSSL_VERSION_NUMBER).PHP_EOL;"

Re: planet.gnome.org

can this be wrapped in a version check of some kind? Based on that curl bug report, the bug was introduced in 0.9.8h. Assuming this list of OpenSSL version numbers is accurate, and that the bug is fixed in 1.0.0... if((OPENSSL_VERSION_NUMBER >= 0x0090808f) && (OPENSSL_VERSION_NUMBER < 0x100...

Apostrophes break feed update error messages

Got an error about a feed not updating. It was a temporary "couldn't resolve host" error, but the tooltip looked like this: http://i.imgur.com/ylBeZgm.png (You can't see my mouse pointer but it's hovering over the yellow triangle.) The Chrome developer console showed me it looks like this:...

Re: Android client: 2 bugs, 2 wishes

Bug #2: When an article is longer than the screen, so I can scroll, touch and drag (to scroll) is not recognized in the upper part (1 cm below the title bar) of the screen. (Nexus 4, portrait mode) For what it's worth, I see the same thing on my Samsung Galaxy Nexus. When scrolling an article upwar...

Re: Looking for a Slashdot plugin

That said, you've pointed me in the right direction for looking at other feeds and seeing if I can get more of the article content rather than the 1 sentence stub. I get that these stubs are to drive traffic to the site, but frankly, I put these feeds in an RSS aggregator so I don't have to visit t...
