Re: Separating Front-End from Back-End

I know this is obviously a silly thread. But get two servers, put postgresql on one and nginx on another, install tt-rss on both and configure identically. Run update_daemon2.php on the same one as postgresql is on and on the one that nginx is on just set the database settings to point to the other ...

Re: Click category to expand/collapse

I don't think it's related to this commit, but probably the one before? But since one of the last two commits I now get this output from the update daemon at regular intervals (PHP7.0.12): PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '?>', expecting function (T_FUNCTION) in /var/www/tt-rss/classes/feed...

af_readability broken?

I just did a git pull between 00b6b66..465fb16 and something has broken af_readability. It looks like it's just displaying the basic feed content now rather than fetching the full content. Strangely though even one feed which doesn't use af_readability is showing no content as well this morning, but...

Re: Vanishing icons in firefox

I don't have any user css, but I am using my own theme to make a few small changes. However I did try switching it back to default.css and the same thing happens. Just disabled all plugins within firefox as well and that doesn't make any difference.

Vanishing icons in firefox

Is anybody else seeing icons in the sidebar go missing in Firefox if you hover over them with the mouse? The image vanishes just leaving behind a square where it used to be. If you move the pointer over them again then they come back. It's been like this for a week or so I think but I have no idea i...

Re: Tags diseappear

Sorry to hijack the thread a little but it appears that this commit has stopped any of my feeds from updating. Postgresql is logging the error below. Reverting this commit fixes the problem and feeds start updating again without any errors logged. Dec 7 10:37:28 tao postgres[57507]: [894-1] WARNING:...

Re: Issue with af_readability

Yep thanks for the advice. I'm just going to leave open_basedir disabled. I ran for years without it with no problems, it just causes problems, and the fact I have /tmp as one of the directories probably makes it pointless anyway. And yes, disabling that means I am now getting full feeds again. So p...

Re: Issue with af_readability

Ahhh interesting. I have previously seen feeds randomly fail and when you read why it failed it says something like 302: forbidden. Then when you press f-r it loads the feed fine. That might explain that then? Maybe I will just leave it completely disabled then!

Re: Issue with af_readability

I am running with open_basedir enabled yes. But it does include the whole directory that tt-rss is in and the /tmp directory. open_basedir = "/usr/local/www:/tmp". I'll try disabling it and will see what happens.

Issue with af_readability

Since the last commit to clean up the curl hacks I've noticed that af_readability doesn't seem to be working. All my feeds which used to have it enabled are now just showing the real feed contents and not the readability parsed version. Has a bug been introduced there?

Re: What is "purge" supposed to do ?

Starred posts don't get purged, and if old posts are still present in the actual feed then they won't be purged either. If they were then they would just come back as new posts on the next feed update. Check the actual feed to see if they are there.

Re: I made a thing (again)

I'd just like to say that this thing is awesome. I've had several different feeds which used to give full text but changed it to only show the first paragraph and this restores the full text feed on every one. Amazing work.

Re: Trouble with latest xkcd cartoon

It could also be telling you to ditch MySQL and use PostgreSQL instead as that particular comic loaded fine in my tt-rss this morning which uses pgsql. MySQL is obviously having some kind of a mental at the UTF8 characters.
