Re: Periodic releases are over

@Louie, I created a stand alone utility (cfg_ttrss) which can be used to sync config changes. It was mentioned in the forum a while back and you can read about it here: http://tso.bzb.us/2013/06/ttrss-synchronization-for-changes-to.html It was originally intended for those who weren't running the gi...

Re: Periodic releases are over

I created a series of scripts which automatically do quite a bit of things such as: Apply git updates Check for and handle config file changes Check for schema changes Do database backups and rotation It's easy to setup, just clone it from the bitbucket git repo and follow the instructions. I've bee...

Re: Sphinx Configuration - mariadb/mysql & postgresql

There were a few changes made in Sphinx v2.2.6 which require changes to sphinx.conf. The most important being related to binlog_path which can cause searchd not to start. The recommendation is to explicitly define it in the configuration file. In addition, several parameters are no longer needed, an...

Re: Chrome compatibility issues ?

Currently running the Beta on Fedora Linux (37) and not having the issue (nor on previous versions). FWIW, if you're running Linux, hold off on Chrome 38 - the current unstable introduced an issue with the fonts on Linux and they are all smurf'd up.

Re: Update Script for TTRSS Trunk Version - Fedora

Since I see no use of sudo in the script itself, I assume that I have to run the whole script with sudo to get the file rights set the right way, correct? Correct. There is more complete information in the blog post, the URL is posted in this article. It mentions sudo. I didn't receive any comments...

Re: Fixing LibXML error "Extra content at the end of documen

Nah, Fox won't fix it Oy Vey... you know, shouting from the rooftops that the sun revolves around the earth doesn't make it so. ttrss isn't broken. That's a fact. To insist that this project hack around others mistakes is simply inane. It isn't impractical to ask people to fix their stuff. If they ...

Re: Fixing LibXML error "Extra content at the end of documen

Fox can and will do whatever he wants... The plugin exists, and people can seek it out if they want it. Personally, I don't see the point other than you're just asking him to support a crutch. Seriously, what is so hard about asking people to fix their stuff? Is it really that hard? Is the content i...

Re: Fixing LibXML error "Extra content at the end of documen

People should learn to own up to their shitty programming and fix it instead of dragging everyone else into their cesspool of mediocrity. Amen! but I think that your mention of IE as a "bad example" serves at best to confirm my thesis instead of denying it (and at worst is a complete &quo...

Re: Sphinx search does not work

I can't speak for Gentoo because I don't have it.... but in Fedora, there is an optional package called: php-pecl-sphinx and it's dependency of libsphinxclient These are not required for ttrss, and as you have discovered cause issues. The easiest solution (if you can on Gentoo) would be to remove th...
