SQL improvment

Hello, Informations : TTRSS 16.8 with PostgreSQL 9.1 and PHP7. I manage a TTRSS instance with 250 users and a SQL query in the update_feedbrowser_cache function (include/rssfuncs.php) is taking too much time and CPU. I managed to modify the query in order to reduce the query time from 1,387,000ms (y...

Re: How to migrate from MySQL to PostgreSQL?

I didn't test it for a ttrss migration but used it for a Drupal MySQL to PostgreSQL migration but you may try pgloader (http://pgloader.io/).

Re: GoGomics removed RSS feeds for their comics !!

Fetchs *only* the last comic.

My PR has been merged, so you can update your rss-bridge if you have one.

Re: GoGomics removed RSS feeds for their comics !!

I think when I have some free time I'll make a bridge for gocomics with this, seems interesting. Don't bother, I just wrote one. I'll make a PR on github in a few minutes. But my bridge fetchs the last comic, so if you want to improve it, you're welcome  https://github.com/ldidry/rss-bridge/b...

Re: Dedicated Server Recommendation

Nope, I'm not afraid. I never encountered any data corruption, and if there was, I'm using barman (http://pgbarman.org) to continuously backup the data, so I would be able to retrieve a safe backup anytime.

Re: Dedicated Server Recommendation

At Framasoft ( https://framasoft.org ), we provide 2 TTRSS instances (on https://framanews.org ). We are using a dedicated EX40SSD server ( https://www.hetzner.de/en/hosting/produkte_rootserver/ex40ssd ) (i7, 32GiB RAM, 2x256GiB disk) to host ±500 users, with a maximum number of 100 RSS feeds. I don...

Is it possible to disable pgsql full-text search

Hello, I'm a member of Framasoft, an non-profit association that proposes, among other services, a free instance of TTRSS. We were running out of space on our server and I saw that the index for pgsql full-text search (ttrss_entries_tsvector_combined_idx) is taking a lot of place (±57GB). As I activ...

Re: Text cut off at UTF Emoticons

I saw a little heart in your message body in TTRSS. Maybe your database encoding isn't correct?

Re: Problem with 1.10 and lock files

Simple : you have another update process which is already running. Your feeds take more than 15 minutes to update ; your cron launchs a new update which is aborted ; your first end ; you cron launchs a new update which goes well and so ever, and so ever. Try to change your cron to update every 30 mi...

Re: Sync Thunderbird and TT-RSS

Really. I'd like to see a person for whom gmail filtering is somehow not enough. Me. Gmail is a fucking box of shit. I mean, 1/4 of my "spams" are real emails. Thank you Gmail. I hate Gmail for deciding "Oh, this mail looks important, let's tag it". Dude. I put an "importan...
