Re: using af_feedmod

Hi, I have an issue with some french char that does not appear correctly, I try to play with the charset option but with no luck: "lequipe": { "type": "xpath", "xpath": "div[@class='paragr paragraf1']", "force_charset": "ISO-8859-1&qu...

Re: Multiple DIVs in af_feedmod

I just wanted to say that newer versions of af_feedmod have a cleanup feature, which can be used to remove tags from the fetched content as an alternative solution to lotrfan's one. However, it seems that there may be a better solution for this, the XPath //div[@class='x460x140 floatingColumns']/div...

Re: Trouble with _debug logging

Don't use _debug() in plugins unless you understand what it does, seriously http://www.lawandenvironment.com/uploads/image/doh%281%29.jpg Yes, you already told me how to do it right. Sorry for bothering  Anyway, have a nice vacation. https://i.chzbgr.com/maxW500/5554798592/h9A57BB66/

[Don't look here] Trouble with _debug logging

I try to make a plugin do some logging, something along the lines of [snip] As a start, I omitted the if and only put a _debug("message"); in the code. I then run into trouble in the GUI Could not update headlines (invalid object received - see error console for details) The error console ...

Re: Plugin ff_FeedCleaner

Should remove just the 2 instances of â if I understand correctly but ttrss still errors at 'Entity 'acirc' not defined' Because it doesn't. I read the whole section on regex syntax on php.net OK. You should have noted then that the regexes need delimiters, so try it with "#^http://f...

Re: Plugin ff_FeedCleaner

Different objects may not have the same key. This is a mistake on my side, in the next version the configuration will consist of unnamed objects with a url key. In the mean time, try dropping letters { "#^http://feeds.feedburner\\.com/1500espn/sportswire/all\\#" : { […] }, "#^http://f...

It's entirely possible, however, that the value of $rss is changed as a side effect of the intervening code. I'm not a php guy so I've no idea.

This. Thanks Chris, and sorry if it's an absolutely obvious mistake on my side, fox.

Re: Implicit conversion in loadXML() considered harmful?

$rss is not the variable that gets loaded from the cache? You tell me: $rss = false; $rss_hash = false; $force_refetch = isset($_REQUEST["force_refetch"]); if (file_exists($cache_filename) && is_readable($cache_filename) && !$auth_login && !$auth_pass && fi...

Re: Implicit conversion in loadXML() considered harmful?

While we're talking so pleasantly, I have another question: In the function update_rss_feed in include/rssfuncs.php, lines 253-275, is the cached feed content ever used because $rss is set to false and never set to true in between, or do I misunderstand something important?

Re: Implicit conversion in loadXML() considered harmful?

By the way, this could also be implemented as a feed fetched hook plugin. Yeah, it could, and I stumbled over this because I wanted to provide such functionality, but on the other hand: Most probably your php (or the platform php is running on) has incomplete and/or otherwise broken support for ico...

[TRUNK'd] Implicit conversion in loadXML considered harmful?

Like some other guys , I have trouble subscribing to some feeds since fox included a self-written feed parser in 1.7.9. At least for the first two cases, I have found a solution. It seems that on some systems, the encoding conversion that is done by the DOMDocument::loadXML function doesn't work , w...
