Re: Next-Prev Toolbar

Image link in first post is broken. Would like to know what this does without having to install it

Re: Favicon badge plugin

I was hoping that's what it was. Maybe the name should be "unread count on favicon plugin".

It's potentially useful for use with the "pin as app tab" feature in Firefox, which hides the title text but still shows the favicon.

Re: Favicon badge plugin

Wait, what does this do exactly?

What are badges, and what do they have to do with counters?

[1.7.5] Command line parameters not parsed?

When trying to run update_daemon2.php or update.php with the --help parameter, I don't get the help outputs that are in the scripts. This makes me wonder if other options (like --daemon) are going to be recognized: # ./update_daemon2.php --help Content-Language: auto Content-Type: text/html; charset...

Loading indicator

When I click on a feed with a lot of articles, there seems to be no indication of when the viewer is done loading all of the headlines for the feed that are to be displayed in the headlines pane. Instead, they just gradually and silently appear in bursts at the bottom of the list. It would be useful...

Window pane navigation issues

Using 1.7.4 with non-widescreen mode (feeds on left pane, headlines on upper-right pane, article content on lower-right pane), it is not possible to use up/down/home/end/pgup/pgdown to scroll the headlines pane if the article pane is hidden (via 'a q' or the close button plugin). If I click on a hea...

Re: How to make feed updating automatically on shared hostin

Mine appears to allow long-running background processes and cron jobs, but I'm not sure how I'm actually supposed to launch a background process. I ended up making a watchdog script that is called via cron every minute to check that the update process is running, and (re)launch it if it is not: #!/b...

Re: SQL improvements

I'm definitely having a better experience with PostgreSQL, although I think this may be partially because switching from MySQL eliminated contention with two WordPress installs.

Re: Mobile webapp for TT RSS: ttrss-mobile

fox wrote:Okay, I've looked through the latest version and I'm removing deprecated mobile/ in favor of this one. Great job.

I'm assuming that ttrss-mobile will not take mobile/'s place as part of the default tt-rss install, though?

Re: Thank You for Tiny Tiny RSS

Yes, thanks for fox and everyone in the community that has contributed to make tt-rss. I was an avid fan of Google Reader until the shutdown announcement, at which point I went looking for another web-based solution with any kind of mobile support. I couldn't find any non-self-hosted solutions I lik...

Re: Show unread article count before feed/category title

I would just take the existing logo and replace the bluish square behind the "t" with an RSS icon of the same bluish color (or the traditional orange).

Also, thanks guys for derailing my thread that was meant to be helpful into something that annoyed fox :(

Re: Show unread article count before feed/category title

Actually, I figured it out myself. In js/FeedTree.js, change the following in your tt-rss install: if (item.unread > 0) { label = name + " (" + item.unread + ")"; } else { label = name; } to: if (item.unread > 0) { label = "(" + item.unread + ") " + name; } el...

Doh, you're absolutely right, thanks! It got camouflaged by being between two other icons of the same size.

Show unread article count before feed/category title

It would be nice to have the option of displaying unread article counts for feeds and/or categories on the left side of the feed/category names, instead of on the right side. This would allow users to slide the vertical divider between the feed list and feed content panes farther to the left without...

close_button plugin does nothing?

I'm using a default tt-rss installation in non-widescreen mode, and I don't see any sort of additional button after enabling the close_button plugin. I can close articles with 'a q', but a button would probably be nicer.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong, or what I'm ignorant about? Thanks!
