Re: Twitter RSS Feeds

Hmm, having firewall issues. I have my ttrss instance locked down and I'm struggling to find the right port/ip combination to subscribe and update the twitter feed (28 connect() timed out!). At the moment I've temporarily enabled incoming port 443 0.0.0.0/0 in my firewall for it to work. I've tried ...

Re: Android-App widget problem

Cyanogenmod 10.1 Galaxy S3 with Nova launcher. I can't say for certainty that it was the cause, but turning off 'lock desktop' in my Nova settings seems to be fix the issue for me.

Re: Android-App widget problem

I've noticed that too. You need to include more details about your device. What Android version are you running? Is is a custom rom? Lastly, are you using a custom launcher, i.e Nova, Apex.

Re: Proper way to migrate from MySQL to PostgreSQL

If you read it carefully, it's the same error I got with my own script. :( We're back at square 1 [except for the migration of user settings which works really fine]. Can you dump and attach your schema for me to take a look at, via phppgadmin or CLI below. pg_dump -s -Fp --file=schema.sql -n publi...

Re: MySQL issues: Lock wait timeout exceeded;

This will be my final post on this topic so I wanted to share a last graph illustrating the benefits of postgres and also the results of my performance tuning at fox's suggestion. http://eaoffsite.s3.amazonaws.com/io_12days.png Wednesday I poured over the postgres config file making various adjustme...

Re: Proper way to migrate from MySQL to PostgreSQL

You can move some of the data using xml import/export plugin, anything else is not supported and is bound to seriously screw up your database. Edit: in general I would suggest importing your OPML (which includes tt-rss settings and categories) into a clean database and starting from that. This^^ Fo...

Re: Sphinx Configuration - mariadb/mysql & postgresql

Worked. I ended up upgrading to 2.0.9-rel20 through sphinx's PPA, so I can test the weekly releases. Re: MySQL issues: Lock wait timeout exceeded;

postgres is set up very conservatively out of the box, you might want to read up on performance tuning btw. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD Wow, VERY, VERY conservative settings out of the box, lots of room to move here. For folks following along, good place to start is here. http://wiki.pos...

Re: MySQL issues: Lock wait timeout exceeded;

So I've seen a general drop in I/O activity since migrating to postgres, went from a baseline of around 14 read-writes/s to a baseline of around 8 read-writes/s, just a little over 40% reduction in I/O. Pleased.
