Re: Make GoComics work again plugin

Yeah, it's a known issue because GoComics redirects 404s for specific (i.e. future) comic pages back to the default (e.g. /garfield/2017/01/18 becomes /garfield). This plugin is actually a subset of a much larger plugin I use to filter a bunch of stuff. In that plugin I have a custom curl wrapper th...

Re: Make GoComics work again plugin

Updated to fix a stupid mistake that caused the plugin handle every feed. Sorry for the trouble.

Make GoComics work again plugin

As requested , attached is a plugin I quickly threw together to allow TT-RSS to generate an Atom feed internally for the new (Jan. 9/17) GoComics site. (Apparently supporting RSS is too much of a burden for them.) This plugin is based on the previous feed URLs I used at feedburner and it works for ...

Re: GoGomics removed RSS feeds for their comics !!

I also emailed them but never got a response back.

Today I wrote a plugin that hooks FETCH_FEED and generates a fake Atom feed using the included MiniTemplator based on the content the code scrapes from their site. It's a workaround but probably the best one can do in the situation.

Might not need to reinvent the wheel as there are libraries out there already. This one seems good (no affiliation):

Re: php 7.1, FEED_CRYPT_KEY, and you

The way TT-RSS was coded it would always encrypt the password field as an empty string. So if those values are the same and auth_login is empty, just ignore it.

Re: Tiny corrupting old data

I'd also like to suggest you contact the site owners since you are probably not the only one affected. Even something as simple as throwing in their domain name in front of the article ID will help make it unique.

PHPMailer Vulnerability CVE-2016-10033

I'm on mobile so I haven't been able to investigate further with respect to TT-RSS or submit a patch, but since it uses an earlier version of PHPMailer I figured I should share this: http://thehackernews.com/2016/12/phpmailer-security.html?m=1 Based on how I think TT-RSS works, this should only be e...

Re: How to migrate from MySQL to PostgreSQL?

Fox is not going to appreciate that you didn't bother to search: Proper way to migrate from MySQL to PostgreSQL I'm going to add that migrating is, in general, a bad idea. You should export/import your feeds using the built-in feature for this. There's also a plugin bundled with TT-RSS that will han...

Re: func_get_arg(): Argument 7 not passed to function

What's happening when this error occurs? That particular function is called countless times by the core and plugins; without a backtrace it will be pretty difficult to figure out why the error is occurring. (Seems odd it would cause an error when that particular line is supposed to be error suppress...
