Re: Plugin to import Starred/Shared from Google Reader

Sorry, I can't import the json files. :oops:

I selected the starred.json (2.3MB) from the Import menu, after I received an error message as No file uploaded.

The shared.json (19MB): {"error":{"code":7}}

How can I run the ./update.php --greader_import starred.json command? Where? :|

Are you on some gimped shared hosting or something? Looks like php uploads don't work properly.

You'll need shell access to the host where tt-rss is installed, then you just run it from tt-rss directory.

This is a Raspberry Pi with Debian, lighttpd, mysql-server-5.5, and php5-mysql installed. The ttrss is working fine.

All files in the /ttrss folder:

Sorry for my beginner questions. :) :roll:

apt-get install php5-cli?

You should be able to run it like /usr/bin/php5 ./update.php

Ok, but...

To use it, plugin should be added to config.php constant PLUGINS.

I like your avatar! :mrgreen: Unfortunately I don't know that how can I add these plugin to config.php? Ok, sudo nano config.php but what is the necessary prefix/command? define('???', );

I slept on it, sent a donation for you, and after found the necessary line in the config.php: :D

Code: Select all

define('PLUGINS', 'auth_remote, auth_internal, note, updater, googlereaderimport');

The command line for import not working, the new error message:

Which file not found?

I tried following version also:

Code: Select all

./update.php --greader_import /var/www/ttrss/starred.json

I received this error while using the web interface to import starred.json:

Query INSERT INTO ttrss_user_entries (ref_id, uuid, feed_id, orig_feed_id, owner_uid, marked, tag_cache, label_cache, last_read, note, unread, last_marked) VALUES ('1078', '', NULL, 38, 2, true, '', '', NOW(), '', false, NOW()) failed: Cannot add or update a child row: a foreign key constraint fails (`ttrss`.`ttrss_user_entries`, CONSTRAINT `ttrss_user_entries_ibfk_3` FOREIGN KEY (`orig_feed_id`) REFERENCES `ttrss_archived_feeds` (`id`) ON DELETE SET NULL)

I tried the command line method and got a file not found error. Somehow, I ended up with all my starred items but I'm not sure which method actually got them there. I'm not entirely sure if my shared items made it in either. My shared items were also starred, but I don't see anything in the published category.

Go figure I guess.

cli runs without any errors but has actually deleted all my existing starred items.

web interface doesn't work spouting an opml error "could not parse document".

Just out of curiosity, does this import your google reader feeds?

Iev already "moved over" from reader and deleted all my feeds from it. An import function would have been nice for making the transition.

I never used "star" or "share", honestly I never know what it did.

I have no idea why this happens to some people. It should be some knob in PHP configuration which you have disabled or enabled.

The plugin doesn't delete any articles from the database. Also, it shouldn't spout any OPML errors because it's completely separate from OPML importing.

So you never used star or share and you would like the plugin which import starred and shared articles to import feeds. Wait, what.
