Feeds are updated in the future not now

Postby dl1sdz » 17 Jun 2014, 01:07

Hello,

I have been running tt-rss for a long time without any clitches (Thanks by the way for the excellent software), but ran recently into a problem I can't resolve:

I get the message "Feeds last updated at Wed, Jan 07 2015 - 10:36" and of course I receive no recent updates.
Where can I set back the date to today?

Running on Linux with mysql and apache.
Date and time is synchronized with ntp.
Made an upgrade to 1.12 but problem persists.
Cleared all cookies in the browser.

Any ideas?

Hajo

Try running update.php --force-update once.

Thanks, that did it: I was first thrown back into the year 1970, but when I logged out and in again, things were normal except that I had a lot of feeds for I could not read them for some time ;-)

One thing, not a bug, but a feature and I don't know a way around:
Linux: the directory and sub-directories "/var/www" are accessible by apache and root. But I am not allowed for example to run ./tt-rss/update.php" as root. I could change permissions tt-rrss/ for a user, but I don't want to do this for "./www/"

So I installed tt-rrs new as root which doesn't seem to be a nice way.

Thanks for your support and to be true: I don't miss Google News anymore.

You can try something like this:

Code: Select all

sudo -u apache php /var/www/tt-rss/update.php --feeds

Hello,

sometimes you stand before a door-frame with no door and don't know how to enter.

Thanks, I got it. Next time I will try.

Let's see, at 93,000,000 miles radius, 2 * pi * r * (2014-1970) = somewhere in the neighborhood of 25.7 billion miles.

Can I have a couple of your free trip vouchers so I can take a proper vacation with my wife?

Mmmmh,

As a thank you I can offer a 456.000 km roundtrip. It's just several km behind the backside of the moon. Wanna take a ride?

You are welcome!
