Hello Fox,

thanks for your reply.

Sorry for my english, I'm French so it isn't really easy for me...

What I want to say is that I am having issues with daemon connection.

I'm on a shared server (ovh.com) so I do not have access to the server managment, shell or other ... And so I do not know if I 'm able to run Apache Ant in this kind of configuration or not ....

I have deployed TTirc on my server and the script works, but inevitably as the daemon connection is not established, the error was : Backend connection daemon is not running. (13).

My question was, can I deploy TTirc on a shared server or only on a dedicated server?

I have significant doubts he'll be able to run java daemons on shared hosting.

showtime, generally a VDS is needed for this kinda thing.

Hi there ,

"on something", oh some magical stuff... mmmm, ... ^^

seriously, I'm not a noob, but I'm not very comfortable with the "compilation".

it is a pity because TTirc is the solution I'm looking for ... To stay connected on IRC 24/24 and access from anywhere via a simlple web browser ... As I currently doing with the excellent TTRSS ...

Well you have built backend.jar locally since you have deployed tt-irc, you can just upload it on your hosting, there's no need to recompile. The hard part is convincing the hosting people you can run persistent daemons, usually this is frowned upon.

oh, so your "mutualized server" whatever the hell that is, is the only computer you've got access to? I guess you're just typing on rainbows and ponies...

let me try and translate for you "ON THE COMPUTER YOU'RE POSTING YOUR DRIVEL FROM"... is that better?
;)

It was just a joke, I try to do my best to speak correctly, the most difficult in a language are expressions and word games. :)
