larger flickr images plugin

Postby jasminebanks » 31 Mar 2013, 03:54

This is a simple plug-in to allow viewing of larger images in flickr feeds.

- cd ./plugins
- mkdir enlargeflickr
- cd enlargeflickr
- unzip enlargeflickr.zip
- enable plug-in in preferences (optionally, add plugin to config.php)

(tested in 1.7.5, not on trunk)
Enjoy (I hope!) larger images in CDM viewing mode!

Update to plugin as apparently the last zip contained the old version. My deepest apologies. Please do let me know if you experience issues.

I can't seem to get this plugin to work. I'm using "v3" of this plugin and have it enabled, but it doesn't appear to change anything. I looked at the source code and follow what it's doing, but it's not modifying the image JPEG src as it should.

Here's an example feed I'm subscribed to:
https://api.flickr.com/services/feeds/g ... [email protected]

On the other hand, I just discovered the "always download image attachments" feed option, which seems to do something similar to what this plugin intends.

Unrelated question - do plugins have the ability to drastically modify how the headlines list view is formatted? For image feeds like Flickr ones, an even better plugin would be to show an image browser that just shows the article images in a grid format like pinterest or images.google.com - no need to even click on individual headlines to view the body content.
