I uploaded a new version of the plugin in a repository, since i try to extend it over time and fix the bugs. I hope digitalDJ likes this too.

Check the github repository here: https://github.com/dasmurphy/tinytinyrss-fever-plugin

Download is here: https://github.com/dasmurphy/tinytinyrs ... master.zip

Importent: Mr.Reader is not yet full supported. I will try to fix it asap, but i need some time for it. Currently Mr.Reader does not crash any more and loads your feeds. You can not mark the items as READ/STARRED.

Any feedback would be cool. ;) And have fun with it... 8)

So far seems to work beautifully, aside from the "can't mark item as read/starred" bit. I haven't checked my feeds in a few days so there were quite a few entries for it to deal with too.
Thanks for doing this btw!

Currently it's using "date_entered", which looks like it's the date entered into the tt-rss database as opposed to the date the article was published. Looking on Reeder it's different to the web view. Should "date_entered" be replaced with with "updated".

Oh, and i've done this too ;)

>This because Mr. Reader doesn't use the API, but rather uses Fever's web interface instead. It does this by taking advantage of the fact that Fever's API endpoint is the website itself

It's a major pain, and oftentimes doesn't work (I've never gotten it to work; some people have however). Much easier to sign up with one of those services that give out free SSL certs. DO NOT USE CAcert, their CA is untrusted. I have had good luck with StartSSL however. Basic SSL cert with up to 2 host names is free, if you pay for their "verify that I am who I say I am" service (I think it's $30 or so per year) you can get unlimited hosts (including wildcard hosts) on a cert.

Nicely done! Interesting that your changes to setUser() are nearly identical to mine, so I'll stop now :)

LOL. Thanks for the compliments ;) Keep finding bugs... If there are any and test any app with Fever Integration.

Interesting... it's not working for me. I do a sync, get new articles, then read them. As I read each individual article (thus marking them as read) I see calls to, e.g.

Code: Select all

GET /plugins/fever/?manage=statuses&mark=item&as=read&id=3563&1372411886448

in my log files. However when I check the TTRSS web interface, and/or if I sync Mr. Reader again, the articles I just read come back as unread again.

EDIT: Marking entire feeds as read appears to work, and results in the following API call in my logs:

Code: Select all

POST /plugins/fever/?api

The GET call is ok. This call should do it. I reinstalled and test it in my iPad and used the current PHP files from github. It seems to be running fine on my side here.
Try redownloading and reinstalling the plugin and reset the password. May be you can enable the DEBUG flag in fever_api and check this on your site. Don't post the file here, it may contain your password and your APIKEY. The debug output lies there in the root of your tinytiny installation. You should at least see following: a login call with username and password and a manage statuses call as get.
