60 items

Postby dlohan » 03 Jan 2014, 00:17

Hi,

I have an old Joomla (OldSite) website. I have created an RSS for it. Articles are pulled from OldSite into TinyTinyRSS, which I host on tinytinyrss-servers.com, and put them into a folder MyFolder. Filters add keywords to the imported articles in MyFolder.

Using the RSS for the folder MyFolder I have sought to import these articles into my new website (NewSite). However it seems that only 60 items are being admitted to the MyFolder RSS at a time. Is there something I can amend to increase this number? I have about 4000 articles hence 60 at a time is limited.

I have searched on this forum and online before posting this question. I have also looked at the plugins available to me. I have looked too at the settings for TinyTinyRSS. I haven't found anything of relevance.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Awesome product BTW.

David

why are you asking about joomla and/or third party hosting services here?

e: there are no import limitations in ttrss.

e2: forum rules updated.

My question is whether there are export limits. Can an RSS from a given folder in TT RSS only permit 60 items at a time?

I am not asking about these third parties. I have been trying to eliminate causes. Content it has nothing to do with Joomla. Have scrutinised the RSS an see that there is consistently only 60 items coming from my TT RSS folder RSS.

I have checked with the third arty hosting provider and I believe I have good reason to eliminate them too. I did find a post which suggested that TT RSS is the source of the restriction. See https://groups.google.com/forum/m/#!msg/g_reader/OlsVd9RSfPU/wmMfaSqo_wYJ and specifically

This has been fixed today by the developer on github and will be available for the next release.

Users willing to test can manually apply the change to their installation.

I believe I have good cause to ask the question and that as such it still stands. Any help would be appreciated. My question relates to export of items.

the page on generated feeds contains all the information you need and is linked on tt-rss.org frontpage

consider reading that instead of continuing to demonstrate your acute inability to communicate over the internet

e: he's trying to tell you the fucking issue you linked to is related to a completely different tt-rss subsystem you obtuse sperglord

e2: best part how "it's already solved" is right there

I bet the irony of accusing me of an "acute inability to communicate" while referring to me as an "obtuse sperglord" and using expletives is lost on you! LOL.

I've read your frontpage and it wasn't helpful on the matter.

In fact much of it is poorly written and key elements are not addressed. It is surprising that more obscure issues are given priority over more immediate and obvious questions. Overall it lacks direction and illustrates a piecemeal approach to development, strategic planning and support. Paradoxically you haven't pointed me to an answer but in a vague direction in the hope of deflecting the deficiencies highlighted.

Sorry for using big words. Did you have to look many if them up?

No gold medals for your support efforts though. Perhaps with a tough training regime you could scrape through the qualifiers in a few years time.

since you've proven incapable of putting two and two together.... I'll help,

what you liked to was about "SYNCING" data, which you're not trying to do, and MOBILE DATA at that, which you're not trying to do... ie, it had to do with the speed, and network loading of the connection between a mobile client and the ttrss database backend through the API.

iow, completely irrelevant to what you're whinging about...

was that more helpful, m'lord?

Actually it wasn't. You have a knack for saying a lot while falling far short of the point ... a bit like this forum and the frontpage. It is about as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike. Not sure what the point of this forum is BTW. Not exactly full of solutions!

I do appreciate your newfound reverence humble serf. :D
