It seems to be when the source IP changes - I just observed this behavior when I switched from cellular data to wifi. Does the plugin log source IP for security reasons, or something?

Not sure about the plugin, but TT-RSS itself does...

config.php wrote:

Code: Select all

   define('SESSION_CHECK_ADDRESS', 1);
   // Check client IP address when validating session:
   // 0 - disable checking
   // 1 - check first 3 octets of an address (recommended)
   // 2 - check first 2 octets of an address
   // 3 - check entire address

First thing I did was disable it:

Code: Select all

        define('SESSION_CHECK_ADDRESS', 0);

Hmm... You might try enabling debugging output in fever/fever_api.php and then checking the log file it creates...

Pretty sure the Fever API doesn't use this since it only uses an md5 sum of the username and password; not an actual session.

It certainly didn't seem relevant, I disabled it because my employer round robins proxies in multiple /8s. Still, the ipad that never leaves the subnet works fine, but the iPhone has constant reoccurrences of this error.

Yeah, I turned the option off too since I didn't like logging in if my iPhone jumped between wifi and cellular.

As for the previous poster, definitely turn on debugging in the Fever API.

Nothing in the debug log when the error occurs.

See if Reeder has any debug logs. On your iOS device open Settings > General > About, then scroll to the bottom and look for debug/crash/logs or something (I forget exactly how it's named).

Nothing from Reeder.

Settings > General > About > Diagnostics & Usage > Diagnostic & Usage Data, fwiw.

For what it's worth I use Reeder (both version 1.x and 2.x) and have had no problems like this. My phone frequently changes IP address when I go from two different WiFi networks to 3G and so on and I've never been asked to log in again so it sounds like a possible problem specific to the server than the fever plugin or the Reeder app.

I've resolved this by disabling SSL. Which isn't really a solution, but hey.

I just updated to TT-RSS 1.11, and it seems my Fever plugin has stopped functioning. I downloaded the latest version from github, and can't seem to get it to work. I copied it to the plugins folder, enabled it, and tried to set a new password. When I click set password, I get an error (error(error:code7)). Reeder cannot connect to it.

Did I do something wrong with my update, or am I missing something? Thanks for the help.

Did you try the old password?

The heads of Tiny and Fever work for me, including password setting.

Yes, I didn't change my settings in Reeder, and it could not connect. I was only trying changing the password since it was about the only option in the plugin :)

I also have found that if the Fever plugin was enabled pre-upgrade, that user cannot disable it. And if a user didn't have it enabled, they cannot enable it.
